We are pleased when others recognize the good work of our operating sites. Below is a list of awards and recognitions achieved at Lilly facilities across the globe.
- The National Safety Council has recognized facilities in Indiana (Indianapolis BHI operations and Greenfield Laboratories) for establishing excellent safety records, including operating more than 2 million hours work without lost work-time injuries or deaths and at least 12 consecutive months without lost work-time injuries or deaths.
- The Groundwork Trust awarded the Speke, U.K., facility with a Merseyside Environmental Award - Responsible Business Award in recognition of the site’s Fermentation Odour Abatement facility.
- The Indiana Department of Labor, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, and the Central Indiana chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers awarded the Indianapolis BHI site with the prestigious Indiana Governor’s Workplace Safety Award for 2007 in the category of innovations.
- The U.S. EPA honored Tippecanoe Laboratories in Lafayette, Indiana, with its prestigious Clean Air Excellence Award for two consecutive years. In 2005, the site received an award for its innovative flexible air permit. The following year Tippecanoe Labs received a second Clean Air Excellence Award for its role in developing a multi-metals continuous emissions monitoring system.
- The David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation awarded the Erl Wood research facility in the U.K. with the Surrey Sustainable Business Award for 2006.
